Cameras don’t take pictures, photographers do
Train your eye to appreciate what makes a great image, explore examples of photographic excellence; past and present, and learn how to apply these valuable skills to your own picture making in this intensive workshop.
The day begins with an introduction to some famous examples of ‘punctum’ photography- images that provoke a strong emotional response in the viewer, and then time is spent in our Learning Centre taking your own photographs and developing your own photographic style through a series of creative challenges.
This adult photography workshop is suitable for students who have little or no practical experience, or are looking to expand their technique through an exploration of photographic history and theory. With support from artist Emer O’ Brien (her work pictured). Please note students will need to bring their own digital camera and cable.
