Thursday 14 April, 10.30-16.00
Learning Centre
Discover how to print your own textiles, with an urban twist. Create on-trend fabrics based on cityscapes, street furniture and London landmarks and learn to screen-print them, with support from artist Steve Dixon.
The day begins by gathering inspiration onsite for the prints, followed by time spent in our studio pulling together those exploratory drawings and images into a patterned motif that is screen-printed onto fabric to create a unique textile design. The workshop is suitable for students who have an interest in design, textiles, fashion or printmaking, but no previous experience in screen-printing is required.
